Augusta is a city in Georgia.

It is known world wide for the Augusta National Golf Club, which hosts The Masters, one of professional golf's four major championships.

The Southern Baptist Convention, the largest Baptist denomination in the world and the largest Protestant denomination in the United States, was founded in Augusta in 1845.
