Alans

From Conservapedia - Reading time: 1 min

The Alans (or Alani) were an Indo-Aryan tribe - nomadic war-like horse breeders first mentioned in the first century A.D. and known to have raided Parthia - which entered European history when displaced from their homeland north of the Caucasian Mountains by the invading Huns in 370. They reached Gaul in 406 along with the Vandals and Suebi (Suevi). Some settled in the Iberian Peninsular whilst one group continued into North Africa with the Vandals in 427.[1]
