Dean Koontz is a best-selling American novelist and Libertarian. His novels, of which fourteen have been New York Times #1 bestsellers, might broadly be described as thrillers.[1]
He was born in Everett, Pennsylvania on July 9, 1945 and had an alcoholic father, which led to his habits of reading and watching movies as a child.[2] He began to write in the 70s and became wealthy when the movie rights to one of his novels was purchased by MGM.[3] He lives with his wife and dog in California.[4]
