The Katowice Climate Change Conference is a conference being held between December 2 and 14, 2018, in Katowice (pron. kǎto-vee-ché), Poland. The conference aims to implement the 2015 Paris climate agreement. It is also known as COP24, for 24th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.[1]

The United States has reiterated its decision to withdraw from the Paris climate agreement.[2]

Results[edit]

The conference failed to adopt a key scientific report.[3] Professor J. Ray Bates, Adjunct Professor of Meteorology in the Meteorology and Climate Center at University College Dublin, has drawn attention to deficiencies in the report.[4]
