Reconquest of Iberia

From Conservapedia - Reading time: 1 min

The reconquest of Iberia refers to the slow Christian reconquest of Spain from the lands taken by force by the Muslims. The initial conquest took place in the 700s A.D., but reconquest didn't start in earnest until the eleventh century. The final reconquest of Spain took place in 1492, at which time Spain and Portugal emerged as united kingdoms under Christendom.
