Bargaon is a small village of 685 hectares in Kumbhalgarh Tehsil in Rajsamand district, known for Rajsamand Lake, an artificial lake created in the 17th century by Rana Raj Singh in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Bargaon depends on RAJSAMAND, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Bargaon is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Bargaon's pin code is 313324[4], and village code is 03007700. The area of Bargaon is segregated as 38 hectares irrigated area, 183 hectares unirrigated, the 106 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 358.09 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Bargaon is a census village in the district of Rajsamand, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1620 and has total administration over 379 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Bargaon has 290 children, 152 boys and 138 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 130 (8.02%) males constitute 67 (4.14%) of the population and females 63 (3.89%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 587 (36.23%) males constitute 298 (18.40%) of the population and females 289 (17.84%).

The workforce is 460 male, 396 female with 470 (54.91%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 360 males and 110 females. 256 males and 61 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 12 male and 37 female agricultural labor. 386 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Rajsamand to sell juggary and make their living.
