Barodakan is a small village of 807 hectares in Kathumar Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Barodakan depends on KHERLI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Barodakan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Barodakan's pin code is 321607[4], and village code is 00939800. The area of Barodakan is segregated as 520 hectares irrigated area, 229 hectares unirrigated, the 5 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 53 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Barodakan has One post office (Barodakan B.O) and Nineteen public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Barodakan is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2794 and has total administration over 439 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

The workforce is 760 male, 730 female with 986 (66.17%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 661 males and 325 females. 523 males and 300 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 27 male and 6 female agricultural labor. 504 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of KHERLI and Alwar to sell wood furniture and make their living.
