Barodiya is a small village of 312 hectares in Girwa Tehsil in Udaipur district, also called 'the city of lakes' set amidst the Aravalli Ranges in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Barodiya depends on Udaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 20.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Barodiya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Barodiya's pin code is 313011[4], and village code is 03141200. The area of Barodiya is segregated as 25 hectares irrigated area, 54.15 hectares unirrigated, the 107 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 126 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Barodiya has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Barodiya is a census village in the district of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 714 and has total administration over 137 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Barodiya has 120 children, 55 boys and 65 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 2 (0.28%) males constitute 1 (0.14%) of the population and females 1 (0.14%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 655 (91.74%) males constitute 320 (44.82%) of the population and females 335 (46.92%).

The workforce is 185 male, 52 female with 193 (81.43%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 180 males and 13 females. 62 males are considered as the main cultivators. 44 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Udaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
