Barodiya is a small village of 441 hectares in Bagidora Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Barodiya depends on Partapur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. Barodiya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Barodiya's pin code is 327604[4], and village code is 03409700. The area of Barodiya is segregated as 83 hectares irrigated area, 58 hectares unirrigated, the 225 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 75 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The workforce is 321 male, 230 female with 316 (57.35%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 301 males and 15 females. 84 males are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 132 male and 8 female agricultural labor. 235 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Partapur and Banswara to sell ghee and make their living.
