Barodiya is a small village of 401 hectares in Chaksu Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Barodiya depends on Chaksu, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 50.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Barodiya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Barodiya's pin code is 303908[4], and village code is 01650900. The area of Barodiya is segregated as 75.7 hectares irrigated area, 256.89 hectares unirrigated, the 17.95 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 50.78 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Barodiya has One post office (Barodiya B.O) and One public telephone. Barodiya has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Barodiya is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1246 and has total administration over 176 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Barodiya has 211 children, 105 boys and 106 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 494 (39.65%) males constitute 259 (20.79%) of the population and females 235 (18.86%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 42 (3.37%) males constitute 23 (1.85%) of the population and females 19 (1.52%).

The workforce is 323 male, 106 female with 398 (92.77%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 317 males and 81 females. 100 males and 19 females are considered as the main cultivators. 31 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Chaksu and Jaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
