Barsam is a small village of 1419 hectares in Sanchore Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Barsam depends on SANCHORE, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 400.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Barsam is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Barsam's pin code is 343041[4], and village code is 02331800. The area of Barsam is segregated as 1081 hectares irrigated area, 161 hectares unirrigated, the 177 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves).
Barsam has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Barsam is a census village in the district of Jalor, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2782 and has total administration over 469 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 676 (24.30%) males constitute 338 (12.15%) of the population and females 338 (12.15%).
- Scheduled tribe counts for 83 (2.98%) males constitute 42 (1.51%) of the population and females 41 (1.47%).

According to a census 2011 report, 1631 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 828 male, 803 female with 1058 (64.87%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 664 males and 394 females. 461 males and 335 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 31 male and 38 female agricultural labor. 573 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of SANCHORE and Jalor to sell ghee and make their living.
