Barsam is a small village of 1419 hectares in Sanchore Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Barsam depends on SANCHORE, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 400.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Barsam is also surrounded by Two lakes. They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of SANCHORE and Jalor to sell ghee and make their living.
