Bhatinda is a small village of 5544 hectares in Jodhpur Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Bhatinda depends on Jodhpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Bhatinda is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Bhatinda's pin code is 342027[4], and village code is 01970300. The area of Bhatinda is segregated as 4703 hectares unirrigated, the 159 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 682.49 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Bhatinda has One post office (Bhatinda B.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Bhatinda has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Bhatinda is a census village in the district of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 5299 and has total administration over 898 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Bhatinda has 792 children, 420 boys and 372 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 1378 (26.0%) males constitute 721 (13.61%) of the population and females 657 (12.40%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 11 (0.21%) males constitute 8 (0.15%) of the population and females 3 (0.06%).

The workforce is 1432 male, 1311 female with 2087 (76.08%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1228 males and 859 females. 784 males and 610 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 248 male and 214 female agricultural labor. 656 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jodhpur to sell shoes and make their living.
