Dhamred is a small village of 931 hectares in Rajgarh Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dhamred depends on RAJGARH, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 256.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Dhamred is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Dhamred's pin code is 301408[4], and village code is 00903600. The area of Dhamred is segregated as 256 hectares irrigated area, 400 hectares unirrigated, the 65 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 69 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Dhamred has One post office (Dhamred B.O) and One public telephone. Dhamred has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Dhamred is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 4573 and has total administration over 779 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Dhamred has 639 children, 358 boys and 281 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 876 (19.16%) males constitute 474 (10.37%) of the population and females 402 (8.79%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 1146 (25.06%) males constitute 628 (13.73%) of the population and females 518 (11.33%).

According to a census 2011 report, 2199 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1166 male, 1033 female with 1199 (54.52%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 908 males and 291 females. 425 males and 136 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 113 male and 84 female agricultural labor. 1000 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of RAJGARH and Alwar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
