Kaima is a small village of 1388 hectares in Nadoti Tehsil in Karauli district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kaima depends on GANGAPUR CITY, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kaima is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Kaima's pin code is 322215[4], and village code is 01201200. The area of Kaima is segregated as 437.49 hectares irrigated area, 742.34 hectares unirrigated, the 193.96 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 14.18 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kaima has One post office (Kema B.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Kaima has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Kaima is a census village in the district of Karauli, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2480 and has total administration over 460 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Kaima has 316 children, 166 boys and 150 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 476 (19.19%) males constitute 244 (9.84%) of the population and females 232 (9.35%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 672 (27.10%) males constitute 363 (14.64%) of the population and females 309 (12.46%).

According to a census 2011 report, 1202 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 630 male, 572 female with 1140 (94.84%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 605 males and 535 females. 430 males and 473 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 20 male and 29 female agricultural labor. 62 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of GANGAPUR CITY and Karauli to sell ghee and make their living.
