Kherla is a small village of 898 hectares in Kishanganj Tehsil in Baran district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kherla depends on Baran, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kherla is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kherla's pin code is 325224[4], and village code is 03903500. The area of Kherla is segregated as 179.61 hectares irrigated area, 81.1 hectares unirrigated, the 2.5 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 30.71 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village is connected with a single bus service. Kherla has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Kherla is a census village in the district of Baran, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 529 and has total administration over 108 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled tribe counts for 473 (89.41%) males constitute 231 (43.67%) of the population and females 242 (45.75%).

The workforce is 140 male, 132 female with 272 (100.0%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 140 males and 132 females. 129 males and 123 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 11 male and 8 female agricultural labor.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Baran to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
