Ladwa is a small village of 1025 hectares in Merta Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ladwa depends on Merta City, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 107.53% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Ladwa is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Ladwa's pin code is 341518[4], and village code is 01841900. The area of Ladwa is segregated as 526.29 hectares irrigated area, 216.85 hectares unirrigated, the 241.35 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 40.98 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Ladwa has One post office (Ladawa B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Ladwa has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Ladwa is a census village in the district of Nagaur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1622 and has total administration over 331 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Ladwa has 195 children, 110 boys and 85 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 332 (20.47%) males constitute 163 (10.05%) of the population and females 169 (10.42%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 37 (2.28%) males constitute 21 (1.29%) of the population and females 16 (0.99%).

According to a census 2011 report, 805 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 413 male, 392 female with 392 (48.7%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 323 males and 69 females. 145 males and 29 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 71 male and 23 female agricultural labor. 413 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Merta City and Nagaur to sell ghee and make their living.
