Motira is a small village of 110 hectares in Banswara Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Motira depends on Banswara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Motira is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Motira's pin code is 327001[4], and village code is 03425900. The area of Motira is segregated as 6 hectares unirrigated, the 5 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 14 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village is connected with a single bus service. Motira has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Motira is a census village in the district of Banswara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 798 and has total administration over 178 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 4 (0.50%) males constitute 2 (0.25%) of the population and females 2 (0.25%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 782 (97.99%) males constitute 385 (48.25%) of the population and females 397 (49.75%).

According to a census 2011 report, 450 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 224 male, 226 female with 277 (61.56%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 176 males and 101 females. 121 males and 67 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 15 male and 30 female agricultural labor. 173 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Banswara to sell rope and make their living.
