Nimod is a small village of 1257 hectares in Didwana Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Nimod depends on Didwana, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 187.21% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Nimod is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Nimod's pin code is 341506[4], and village code is 01782800. The area of Nimod is segregated as 187.21 hectares irrigated area, 957.09 hectares unirrigated, the 53.85 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 58.99 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Nimod has One post office (Nimod B.O) and Forty public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Nimod has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Nimod is a census village in the district of Nagaur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 4494 and has total administration over 780 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 834 (18.56%) males constitute 411 (9.15%) of the population and females 423 (9.41%).

According to a census 2011 report, 1693 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 978 male, 715 female with 1018 (60.13%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 932 males and 86 females. 292 males and 29 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 168 male and 13 female agricultural labor. 675 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Didwana and Nagaur to sell earthen pots and make their living.
