Ola is a small village of 1860 hectares in Pokaran Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ola depends on POKARAN, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 20.00% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Ola is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Ola's pin code is 345026[4], and village code is 02059100. The area of Ola is segregated as 125 hectares irrigated area, 565 hectares unirrigated, the 260 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 570 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Ola has One post office (Ola B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Ola has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Ola is a census village in the district of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1530 and has total administration over 254 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Ola has 297 children, 174 boys and 123 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 111 (7.25%) males constitute 57 (3.73%) of the population and females 54 (3.53%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 43 (2.81%) males constitute 27 (1.76%) of the population and females 16 (1.05%).

The workforce is 460 male, 261 female with 43 (05.96%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 32 males and 11 females. 2 males and 6 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 3 male and 2 female agricultural labor. 678 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of POKARAN and Jaisalmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
