Patniya is a small village of 468 hectares in Chittaurgarh Tehsil in Chittorgarh district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Patniya depends on Chittaurgarh, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Patniya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Patniya's pin code is 312612[4], and village code is 03611000. The area of Patniya is segregated as 68.33 hectares irrigated area, 234.08 hectares unirrigated, the 132.6 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 32.52 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Patniya is a census village in the district of Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 959 and has total administration over 223 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

The workforce is 299 male, 291 female with 585 (99.15%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 299 males and 286 females. 179 males and 191 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 54 male and 79 female agricultural labor. 5 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Chittaurgarh and Chittorgarh to sell ghee and make their living.
