Patniya is a small village of 304 hectares in Degana Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Patniya depends on Pushkar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, which is 10.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Patniya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Patniya's pin code is 341031[4], and village code is 01860900. The area of Patniya is segregated as 10 hectares irrigated area, 216 hectares unirrigated, the 56 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 22 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Patniya has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Patniya is a census village in the district of Nagaur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 134 and has total administration over 25 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Patniya has 21 children, 9 boys and 12 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 15 (11.19%) males constitute 6 (4.48%) of the population and females 9 (6.72%).

The workforce is 34 male, 10 female with 42 (95.45%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 33 males and 9 females. 22 males and 4 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 4 male and 4 female agricultural labor. 2 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Pushkar and Nagaur to sell millet and make their living.
