Pissed Consumer is an American company that offers a review platform for businesses, where consumers can post reviews about their products and services.[1][2] It is privately owned and operated by Consumer Opinion LLC and it is headquartered in Nevada, Las Vegas. Pissed Consumer's review system is considered very reliable as it aims at connecting businesses with customers to build a relationship and improve the process of complaint negotiation and resolution.[3][4][5][6] The company has built a system that focuses on reliability that can successfully vet fake reviews for businesses by users.[7][8] Right after the launch, Pissed Consumer has created its name to adhere to its standards through industry self-regulation.[9][10]

Founded in 2006, Pissed Consumer specialises in consumer advocacy, by focusing on protecting the right to free speech and opposing gag-clauses.[11][12] Pissed Consumer provides reviews and opinions on several thousands companies spread across hundreds of industries.[13] They aim at improving the process of complaint negotiation and resolution.[14][15]

Pissed Consumer was founded in 2006 by Michael Podolsky.[21][22][23] The major idea behind the inception of this company was to provide a platform where consumers could open up about the problems faced by them regarding a product or a service and freely talk about it. Podolsky is popularly known as the consumer rights advocate.This provides the business and company owners an opportunity to publicly solve the queries. By providing an open space to both the parties to conversate and solve the issues. This open platform hence helps the company and business owners to analyse their system and workflow and effectively improve to better it for future. The services hence offered by Pissed Consumer helps the consumer to learn about several companies belonging in different industries, thus helping them compare and choose wisely before deciding for themselves.[24]

Pissed Consumer has fought for the rights of consumers for unopposed speech for 14-months before FTC moved in against Roca Labs. In the Fall of 2016, Pissed Consumer filed several legal actions against fraudulent practices employed by reputation management companies. Pissed Consumer was the first to uncover the scheme in March of 2016. In 2020, Pissed Consumer entered the fight to preserve Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act in the US to protect websites based on the user-generated content.[25]
