Sitapura is a small village of 513 hectares in Malpura Tehsil in Tonk district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sitapura depends on Malpura, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sitapura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sitapura's pin code is 304502[4], and village code is 02587400. The area of Sitapura is segregated as 56 hectares irrigated area, 312 hectares unirrigated, the 102 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 43 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Sitapura has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Sitapura is a census village in the district of Tonk, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 941 and has total administration over 191 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Sitapura has 132 children, 67 boys and 65 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 21 (2.23%) males constitute 11 (1.17%) of the population and females 10 (1.06%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 103 (10.95%) males constitute 56 (5.95%) of the population and females 47 (4.99%).

The workforce is 283 male, 240 female with 483 (92.35%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 269 males and 214 females. 184 males and 181 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 1 male and 7 female agricultural labor. 40 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Malpura and Tonk to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
