Tapri is a small village of 371 hectares in Kotputli Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Tapri depends on Kotputli, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Tapri is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Tapri's pin code is 303108[4], and village code is 01453400. The area of Tapri is segregated as 96 hectares irrigated area, 181 hectares unirrigated, the 8 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 86 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Tapri has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Tapri is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2016 and has total administration over 327 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Tapri has 353 children, 175 boys and 178 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 478 (23.71%) males constitute 230 (11.41%) of the population and females 248 (12.30%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 39 (1.93%) males constitute 22 (1.09%) of the population and females 17 (0.84%).

According to a census 2011 report, 974 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 457 male, 517 female with 831 (85.32%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 434 males and 397 females. 274 males and 247 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 123 male and 145 female agricultural labor. 143 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kotputli and Jaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
