An effort to recall Scott Walker, a Republican elected in 2010, from his position as the Governor of Wisconsin was launched in November 2011. The Wisconsin Government Accountability Board certified just over 900,000 signatures by March 30, 2011, ensuring the issue would go to the polls. Walker defeated Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett (D) and independent candidate Hariprasad "Hari" Trivedi in the recall on June 5, 2012.[1][2][3] For more information regarding the recall, jump to the Scott Walker recall page.
