Beaver Dam Court Judge Recall

There is a move for a Beaver Dam Court Judge Recall in Mohave County. The group of residents organizing this recall in Beaver Dam picked up the petition paperwork to try and recall Judge Mitchell Kalauli.

Some residents are not happy with actions taken by the judge, namely the proposal to build a new courthouse. There is a debate where the courthouse should be exactly, and Judge Kalauli voiced his opinion to have it closer to the old one, near his home, and not where the city is more likely to grow causing anger from residents making them think he is following his own opinions and not working towards the betterment of the community. Residents think the new courthouse should be near the interstate, where growth is more likely in the coming years. Residents, who held a meeting to discuss this issue, also discussed potential candidates to run against Kalauli.^[1]
