A Bend Metro Park and Recreation District Bond measure was on the November 6, 2012, election ballot in Deschutes County, which is in Oregon, where it was approved.

This measure authorized the Bend Metro Park and Recreation District to issue up to $29 million in order to protect natural areas, connect trails and improve parks. These bonds will be payable through a property tax of approximately $0.24 per $1,000 of assessed taxable valuation.[1]

Text of measure[edit]

Language on the ballot:

Shall BPRD protect natural areas, connect trails and improve parks by issuing up to $29 Million in General Obligation Bonds? If the bonds are approved, they will be payable from taxes on property or property ownership that are not subject to the limits of sections 11 and 11b, Article XI of the Oregon Constitution, ORS250.037(1)[1][2]
