Brian Moore is a former Republican member of the New Mexico House of Representatives, representing District 67 from 2001 to 2009.
In 2007, Moore introduced Mexico House Bill 235 (2007), requiring the state Taxation and Revenue Department to prepare an annual Tax Expenditure Budget.[1] This budget would have made public the total amount of revenue forgone by the State of New Mexico due to tax deductions, exemptions, credits, or preferential tax rates granted to certain groups.[2]
This bill was passed unanimously in the House of Representatives and by a 35-1 vote in the Senate. However, Governor Bill Richardson killed the bill with a pocket veto.[1]
