LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas: On Tuesday, voters in Arkansas went to the polls to decide on several runoff races. The initial primary had been held on May 22, 2012, but seven races required a runoff because no winner received the required number of votes. All seven runoffs were between Democratic candidates.

In three of the races, the winner will not face any major party opposition in November, virtually guaranteeing them election to public office. Here are the results of the runoffs.[1]
