David L. Hammond Jr. is a board member who represents District 3 on the Washington County Board of Education in Tennessee. He ran against fellow incumbent Clarence Mabe, in addition to challengers Todd Hull, Mike Masters and Scott Utsman in the general election on August 7, 2014. He was first elected to the board in 2010.
Hammond attended East Tennessee State University before graduating from the Gemological Institute of America. He and his wife, Kelly, are the owners of Hammond Management, a commercial and apartment rental company. He is a delegate to the Washington County Republican Party.[1]
The August 7, 2014, general election ballot for District 1 included incumbents Keith Ervin, Jack Leonard and Chad A. Williams, as well as challenger Annette Buchanan. The ballot for District 3 included incumbents David L. Hammond Jr. and Clarence Mabe, as well as challengers Todd Hull, Mike Masters and Scott Utsman.
