David Rosenthal is a member of the Fort Bend Independent School District Board of Trustees in Texas, representing Position 7. He assumed office in 2010. His current term ends in 2022.
Rosenthal ran for re-election to the Fort Bend Independent School District Board of Trustees to represent Position 7 in Texas. He won in the general election on May 4, 2019.
Rosenthal is a geophysicist at Unocal. He also received his alternative teacher certification and is a volunteer educator at the Houston Zoo. Rosenthal obtained a bachelor's degree in geology from the University of Delaware. He went on to earn a master's degree in geological sciences at the University of Texas at Austin.[1]

Two of the seven seats on the Fort Bend Independent School District school board were up for general election on May 7, 2016. Position 3 incumbent Jim Rice was the sole candidate to file in the race. Position 7 incumbent David Rosenthal faced challengers James Davidson Jr., Sonja Leonard, Laura Ramirez, and Shirley Rose-Gilliam. There was no primary.[2] Rice won his unopposed re-election bid and Rosenthal defeated Davidson, Leonard, Ramirez, and Rose-Gilliam to secure another term on the board.[3]
