The Georgia Tax Rates for Hazardous Waste Properties Amendment, also known as Amendment 4, was on the ballot in Georgia on November 5, 2002, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The measure allowed for the separate classification and taxation of property that have had releases of hazardous waste to encourage cleanup and redevelopment.[1][2]
