MONTPELIER, Vermont: Governor Peter Shumlin is sticking to his stance that Vermont needs no changes to its gun laws.[1]
Shumlin has said that Vermont does not need background checks for firearm buyers or limits on assault weapons or the size of ammunition clips. He said that those were issues which should be handled at a national level by Congress.[1]
He has reiterated that sentiment recently despite the relative inaction in Washington.[1]
