A Gower School District Bond Measure was on the March 20, 2012 ballot in the Gower school district area which is in DuPage County.
This measure was approved
This measure sought to issue a bond in the amount of $9 million in order to pay for additions onto the Gower Middle School facilities, improve sites and upgrade equipment as needed. School officials noted that local resident's property taxes would not increase they would just extend the current bond repayments for the life of this new bond.[2]
The question on the ballot:
| Shall the Board of Education of Gower School District Number 62, DuPage County, Illinois, build and equip an addition to the Gower Middle School building and improve the sites of, alter, repair and equip the Gower Middle School and the Gower West Elementary School buildings and issue bonds of said School District to the amount of $9,000,000 for the purpose of paying the costs thereof?[3][4] |
