The Green Party of Maryland is the Maryland political party affiliate of the national Green Party. The group is headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland
The Green Party of Maryland aims to promote Green principles and support Green candidates throughout the state. The party is one of four recognized political parties in Maryland. The group first gained ballot access in 2000 and maintained recognition through 2010. The party lost ballot access in 2011 when the Maryland State Board of Elections determined that a number of petition signatures submitted by the party were invalid.
