I'm a 4th-generation Nevadan who has practiced in all areas of criminal law since 1999. I have been a public defender, a prosecutor, and a substitute judge in the Reno Municipal Court. I was born and raised in Reno, and I want to keep Reno a safe place to live and raise a family. To do that we need to not only lock up dangerous offenders, but also connect those with mental health and addiction issues with the proper treatment so that we can reduce recidivism. However, all the treatment in the world is useless without accountability. With my unique combination of experience, energy and passion for this job, I can make the hard decisions and do the hard work that is necessary to be a great Municipal Court judge. I'm not a career politician, I am a man who cares about his community and wants to do what he can to keep it safe.

  • We can keep Reno safe by using an intelligent approach to criminal justice that combines incarceration with treatment for mental health and addiction problems.
  • Offering offenders help at the municipal court level will help keep them out of higher level courts and keep people out of prison.
  • I have the combination of knowledge, dedication and vast experience to be a great judge for the City of Reno.

Criminal justice, public safety, and using the latest evidence-based tools and techniques to reduce recidivism. Outside of the legal system, I am passionate about providing our children with the best education possible. If a child is properly educated and can get a good job and make a good living as an adult, they are much less likely to ever get involved in the criminal justice system. If they are not involved in the criminal justice system, their chances of raising the next generation in the proper way are greatly improved.
