An effort to recall Karen Ordinans from her position as Milwaukee County Board Chairwoman in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin was launched in 2002. The recall campaign against her was initiated due to her part in approving and passing the controversial Tom Ament pension plan. She was successfully recalled in a special election, losing by only three votes, 3,417 to 3,414.[1]

Ordinans originally became chairwoman in 1997.[2]
