Elections for the Missouri House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election was held on August 5, 2014, and a general election on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 25, 2014. Incumbent Karla May was unopposed in the Democratic primary and was unopposed in the general election.[4][5][6]
May won re-election in the 2012 election for Missouri House of Representatives, District 84. May defeated Hope Whitehead and Mike Owens in the August 7 Democratic primary and ran unopposed in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[7][8]

On November 2, 2010, May won election to the Missouri House of Representatives. She was unopposed in the general election.
May defeated incumbent Hope Whitehead in the Democratic primary on August 3 by a margin of 1,380-1,342. Whitehead filed a lawsuit on August 24 challenging the results.
