The Lieutenant Governor of the Northern Mariana Islands is an elected constitutional officer, the second-ranking officer of the executive branch, and the first officer in line to succeed the Governor of the Northern Mariana Islands. The lieutenant governor is popularly elected every four years on a joint ticket with the governor.[1]
The current officeholder is Arnold I. Palacios (R). He assumed office in January 2019.
