    A Lombard Village Term Limits Advisory Question was on the April 5, 2011 ballot in the village of Lombard which is in DuPage County.

    This measure was approved

    • YES 3,187 (80.32%)Approveda
    • NO 781 (19.68%)[1]

    This was an advisory question which asked village residents if they wanted the board of trustees to hold a future vote on if there should be term limits implemented for village President, clerk and trustee.[2] As the results were non-binding, since the measure was approved the village board of trustees will look to take future action and put this on a later ballot for residents to vote to have term limits for elected officials.[3]

    The question on the ballot:

    Shall the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Lombard adopt a resolution to provide for a binding referendum at a future election that limits the terms of office for those persons elected to the offices of Village President, Village Clerk or Trustee in the Village of Lombard, such that no person so elected may serve more than three (3) consecutive full four (4) year terms in the same office?[4]
