The Louisiana State Retirement Systems Amendment, also known as Amendment 3, was on the ballot in Louisiana on November 21, 1987, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. It proposed that all state retirement systems should be soundly funded and that their debt should be paid off within 40 years.[1][2]
