A Madison School District Budget Override measure was on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the Madison school district area which is in Maricopa County.
This measure was approved
This measure sought to allow the district to adopt a budget which exceeds the set revenue limit by a rate of fifteen percent for a period of six years in order to further pay for maintenance and operational costs in the district.[2]
The question on the ballot:
| Shall the Governing Board of Madison Elementary School District No. 38 of Maricopa County, Arizona, adopt a General Maintenance and Operation Budget which includes an amount that exceeds the revenue control limit specified by statute by fifteen percent for fiscal year 2012- 2013 and for six subsequent years as described below? The 2012- 2013 budget override authority represents a continuation of the District's existing 10% and 5% budget override authorities which are each scheduled to phase down by one-third in each of fiscal years 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 if the voters do not approve the override.[3] |
