The Maine Renewable Energy Question did not make the November 5, 2013, ballot in the state of Maine as an indirect initiated state statute. The measure would have allowed increased investment in renewable energy and other energy-related endeavors.[1]
The title of the measure, according to the Maine Secretary of State's website, read:[2]
An Act To Increase Investment in Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency.
Supporters needed to turn in at least 57,277 valid signatures to the Maine Secretary of State's office by January 24, 2013, in order to make the ballot.
When contacted by Ballotpedia on January 24, the secretary's office stated that the proposal did not file petitions by the deadline.
