Marshelle Broadwell is a judge of the Marion County Superior Court in Indiana. She assumed office on January 1, 2021.
She was appointed to the court on November 10, 2020 by Gov. Eric Holcomb (R) to replace Barbara Cook Crawford.[1]
Broadwell received her bachelor's degree from Butler University and her J.D. from Indiana University McKinney School of Law. She began her legal career as a trial and appellate attorney for the Marion County Public Defender Agency. Her other legal experience includes private practice, working for the City of Indianapolis’ Office of Corporation Counsel, and serving as a master commissioner for the Marion Superior Courts. Directly prior to her appointment, she was a magistrate judge in the Marion Superior Court.[1]
