The Maryland Prohibit Housing Discrimination Act, also known as Question 4, was on the November 5, 1968 ballot in Maryland as a veto referendum, where it was defeated. The measure would have prohibited discrimination based on race, color, religious creed, nationial origin or ancestry in respect to the sale, lease, rental or financing of housing accomidations. The measure would have provided for enforcement through the Commission on Interracial Problems and Relations.^[1]
