Elections for the Minnesota House of Representatives consisted of a primary election on September 14, 2002, and a general election on November 5, 2002. All 134 seats were up for election.[1]
Qualifications[edit]
To be eligible to run for the Minnesota House of Representatives, a candidate must:[2]
- Be eligible to vote in Minnesota
- Have not filed for more than one office for the upcoming primary or general election
- Be at least 21 years old by the swearing-in date
- Be a resident of Minnesota for at least one year
- Be a resident of the legislative district for at least 6 months before the date of the general election
