Elections for the Missouri State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election was held on August 5, 2014, followed by a general election on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 25, 2014.
Following the general election, there was no change to the majority control of the Missouri State Senate. The Republican Party increased their hold on the chamber with a net gain of two seats, increasing their total from 23 to 25. The Democratic Party maintained their nine seats. In 11 (64.7%) of the 17 districts up for election, there was only one major party candidate running for election. A total of two Democrats and nine Republicans were guaranteed election barring unforeseen circumstances.
