The Montana Residency Requirements for Judges Amendment, also known as C-19, was on the November 8, 1988 ballot in Montana as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure provided that the legislature could establish specific residency requirements for judges other than supreme court justices, district court judges and justices of the peace.^[1][2]
