Chris Evans is the superintendent of the Natomas Unified School District. Evans was appointed superintendent in June 2012. Evans' previous career experience includes working as a teacher, principal, and athletic director.[1]
The Natomas Unified School District school board consists of five members elected at large to four-year terms.[2]

Members of the Natomas Unified School District school board are elected to four-year terms. Two or three seats are up for election on a staggered basis every even-numbered year in November.
A general election was scheduled for November 3, 2020.
The Natomas Unified School District school board maintains the following policy on public testimony during board meetings:[3]
From 1995 to 2013, the Natomas Unified School District had an average of $81,861,211 in revenue and $85,808,316 in expenditures, according to the United States Census Bureau's survey of school system finances. The district had a yearly average of $134,437,158 in outstanding debt. The district retired $13,068,579 of its debt and issued $17,977,000 in new debt each year on average.[4]
