Three of the seven seats on the Spring Independent School District school board were up for general election on November 8, 2016. Position 1 incumbent Deborah Jensen and Position 2 incumbent Chris A. Bell won re-election without opposition. In Position 3, board incumbent Justine Durant defeated challenger Myron Spencer.[1]

Two seats on the Spring Independent School District Board of Trustees were up for general election on November 3, 2015. The seats are elected at large to three-year rotating terms.
The seats of incumbents Ron Crier and Jana Gonzales were up for election.[2][3] Crier lost to challenger Don Davis for the Position 6 seat. Gonzales defeated challenger LV Dever in the Position 7 election.[4]

The November 4, 2014, general election in Spring Independent School District featured two seats up for election. In the Position 4 race, incumbent Rhonda Faust faced Tammi Humphrey. In the Position 5 race, appointed board member Rhonda Newhouse faced two challengers, Monica Charlton and Regina Cochran.
